Part of Nazi plans for a new ordering of Europe was the Final Solution of the Jewish Question. Citizens of Jewish origin were deported from the occupied territories of Bohemia and Moravia to Terezin concentration camp. In less than four years, more than 140 000 prisoners (men, women and children) were brought there. Over 35 000 prisoners died there. This sad victim place is located 65 km (1 hour by car) north of Prague.
